S&W Customer Service questions..?
I recently bought a new 627 Performance Center with a 5 inch barrel. The revolver shoots tight groups. The groups shoot 6 inches left at ten yards and I have to hold right over two feet to get on the paper at 50..! I looked down the barrel and it looks crooked with the naked eye.
So, will S&W make the proper repairs under warranty? What's everyone's opinion of S&W customer service? Has anyone had similar problems with a new S&W revolver, specifically the 627? Thanks for looking and responding. |

Most people think S&W's customer service is pretty good.
I would suggest using a plum line to see if it really crooked or just looks crooked. I would vice it if possible. And let another shooter try it (esp one with a different dominant eye). Then give S&W a call to send it to their repair department. |

Sent my 681 in two years ago for the recall and had it back in a week. Saw a post on some forum yesterday from a guy who is still waiting after 4 weeks. Never read a post from someone unhappy with the work done when they get the gun back.
Well, maybe note"never", someone will always b**ch. |

Thumbs up on S&W repair
I used S&W customer service with a 686 problem this summer. 14 days after it was sent it was back in my hands. Mine was a cylinder issue not barrel. There are a couple of threads on the S&W forum about canted barrels. They could be found with a search. It would be worth your time.

Where Is Quality Control
My personal experience with S&W CS has been very good.
One would think a "Performance Center" series handgun would get more than a second look before shipping. Regards, SN |

good service, but it took 2 returns to fix my 21A pistol. They pay all shipping.

Don't ship it until you talk to them ...ideally to get a returned goods authorization form ...and maybe a prepaid shipping label..../ not sure how they handle it ....but I sure wouldn't just ship it to them without talking to them first.
