Lyman 49th
Hi all, I am looking in my new book. The Lyman 49th, and looking for load data for what I want to try next..
Currently at a Berry's RN 115 grain but want to switch to 124 grain I believe, but want to get a load data before purchasing materials... My question is why does the Lyman manual only give data for mostly HP??? Why not give load data for FMJ or LRN? |

Well I mean there is a load data for 95 grain FMJ but I would never go that low of a grain..
Then 147 TMJ but I would like a 124 grain FMJ or TMJ load. I guess I can just base my 115 grain loads off of the Jacketed HP loads and just work my way up? |

The data in the manual isn't a recipe to be followed. It's a starting point.
You don't need the same bullet or the same OAL. All that's needed is an understanding of how to make adjustments to the data based on your differences. |
