DR200 Ejection

Today I fired a NIB Daewoo DR200 and the ejected casings were knocking the paint of the ejection port. Is this normal or does something need to be adjusted?

Also, it has an Ace folding stock, installed by previous owner, and it seems a little loose. What needs to be done?

I hope I stated this properly as I am a newbie.

Its tough to say without a picture, but it will do that to a small extent.

There is a gas adjustment on the rifle you can use to lower the amount of gas going through the rifle. You can switch the regulator to the s position if you think the rifle is cycling to hard. M is the standard position.

The marks are small but I will try the gas adjustment.

Thanks for the link. It seems there is a spacer or something missing. I'll call the manufacturer to see. If not I'll make a rubber gasket to fit in the gap.

I appreciate the kind words about the DR200. It seems some think its garbage but I have had several people try to buy it. The only thing I don't like is the 1:12 twist as it limits my ammo possibilities.

None of my many NIB Daewoo rifles ever had paint.

I first thought you mean't a DR200 motorbike injection, but they have a carburetor.
But you didn't so carry on......

If I was talking about injection on a motorcycle it would be on a KTM not a DR Suzuki. LOL

DR200s are parkerized. Some pics would help with your desciption.

It is not uncommon for the ejected brass to bounce off the reciever directly behind the ejection port. The brass marks the rifle, but it can be cleaned off with a stiff nylon brush and some 7.62 solvent or other cleaner.

I see it as a sign of a happy rifle.

I noticed the users manual states no oil on the outside of the gun. What?????

The sight in the picture is a Trijicon Reflex. Right now, I have a Primary Arms M3 clone mounted.
I can't seem to decide which I like better, so they get swapped back and forth fairly often.

As for oiling the outside of the rifle... Parkerizing is a pretty durable finish, oiling is not really needed unless your in a salty environment.
The rifle pictured gets pretty rough treatment, and as you can see the finish still looks pretty good. Maybe once a year I hit it with Rusteprufe.

I have the pre-ban 100 model. I don't shoot it much but it is a fine rifle. I'm sure most of you all know the rifle is based on the one used for many years by the South Korean Army, so it is not an inferior weapon.
