Kimber Mag well

Hi all, I own a nice Kimber Team match II.Beautiful precision gun. I just don`t like the beveled mag well. I Removed the Torx fastener on the bottom of the gun,but the mag well extension won`t budge. There`s got to be an easier way to remove it. Any ideas?

Take the grips off, there should be a tab that goes under the grip screws to hold the frame extension in place.
