Just my 2 cents. Dot will hinder at great distances. Look at the fine crosshair one.

Has anyone tried the MARCH scopes made in Japan? I think they currently have a 10x power magnification ie 6-60x?

I admired the March scopes at the SHOT Show.

The 10 ratio power range advertises impressively but who needs it?
Their 6 ratio scopes might make sense to a sniper or looong range varmint hunter.
But a target shooter just doesn't need the low end.

A friend got to shoot one of their 36-55X EP Zooms and was very impressed.
Now if they just made one that I could hold, say a 16-30.
And a little less expensive. I can't find a US price list but the EP is 1715 pounds in England, that's $2771 at today's exchange rate.

Take a look at Bushnell's Elite 6-24 x 40 scopes. They're around $800 on the Bushnell web site, but Optics Planet usually has them for around $400.

Excellent scope, great clarity.

I think there is a sale / rebate going on right now, and that scope will eventually cost $375 after rebate. I'm thinking about buying another one for my .308 rifle.
