I"ve had a gun sitting around for years, just wondering what I have

Make ITAJUBA-BRASIL
Serial number 6631

I was always told it was a 30 06????

posting pictures would give us a much better idea of what it is.

is it a pistol or a rifle?
is it break action, lever action, bolt action, or semi automatic?
little stuff like that can go a long way towards helping identification.

thanks for any help

when I went to register it the lady I was talking to had a hard time finding anything like it and asked me if there was a stamp engraved on it. I told her yes there was and she said wow thats rare????

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it might be a brazilian Mauser made by Imbel but I am in no way an expert.

Probably a 1950s made Mauser pattern rifle by IMBEL (the current name used) in the city of Itajuba for the Brazilian Army. When they switched to a licensed copy of the FN FAL, the bolt guns went on the surplus market.

.30 WCF is usually an abbreviation for .30 Winchester Center Fire a.k.a. .30-30 Winchester. The most common guns in this caliber are the Winchester Model 94 and Marlin 336 lever actions, but a wide variety of rifles and handguns have been made in .30-30 over the years. A picture, or at least a more detailed description, would be necessary to identify your firearm.

When you say 30.06, I think about Pvt. Ryan. He carried a 30.06. Is the gun belt feed by any chance?
