A big cat pee odor or just a little odor? How did the reloads perform. If you had an improvement in performance maybe you're onto something new and we can sell it.

Are we talking Tabby, Asian Long-Haired, Bambino short-haired cross breed or what? Details. We want details.

Nosparetime....I think I would've tried a washing with lemishine and dishsoap first........but I'm with you, I can't tolerate even a little of that smell. That's why I don't have cats anymore.

One of my sons 2 cats got tired of "sharing." He started using my son's living room couch instead of the litter box. The cure was a second litter box in a new location. Has one of your cats just discovered a new favorite pee spot? The only thing stronger and more obnoxious than cat pee ... is heated cat pee! (they tried to steam clean the couch)

My most recent reload of the 500 S&W with the 500gr. flatnose flying downrange at around 1,150fps made the air smell a little less like urine and a lot more like something else.

That's it!!! Eureka! Pet load! O.P. you just add 2 grains of deodorant cat litter on top of your load of Titegroup, seat the bullet and voila!

Lest there's somebody that will really try that......please, I'm kidding.

Ammonia and other nitrogen compounds are not friendly to copper alloys !!!

The problem with brass is called "stress corrosion cracking" .The British Army learned about it in the early days of brass cartridge use in India in the 1800s.
It's what happens when the necks of cases are not annealed properly.

Stress [hardened brass] ,moisture ,oxygen, ammonia compounds [from lightning storms breaking down N2 in the air] act to crack the brass.
If any ammonia cleaners are used on brass wash it off thoroughly !!

That's your metallurgy lesson for today !
