Reactive handgun shooting training

On the philosophy page of the school’s website, he states: “The main difference between our school and others is that we teach the students how to successfully engage small partial targets that are only exposed for .50 to .75 of a second. From the first drill of the first day, our targets are exposed for less than a second and they never get slower.” The ability to hit a target in those short periods of time is how he defines ‘reactive’ shooting.

So... did you have any thoughts on this article or practice? It'd be nice to know where you're wanting this discussion to go and what particularly you're interested in. What about the school gives you a reaction, and what is that reaction?

I have to admit my bias insomuch as I used to be the Chief Instructor. Many people say Rogers is the best kept secret in the training industry so I just wanted to expose folks to the fact it exists.

A club range, fairly close to us, has installed a Rogers Range.
I hope to give it a try, soon.
Any kind of target that requires a quick reaction on the part of the shooter will really improve skills.
At first it's really humbling, though.
