I bought my first M&P last week, a full sized 9mm. Today after work I'm getting a Shield in 9mm. I feel like a little kids waiting for Santa to come. It's going to be a long work day.

LOVE the new Shield. I like my LC9, but the Shield feels great in my hand. I only fired 50 rounds from it today, but it hits what I aim at and it's comfortable to shoot. Nice, flat, and smooth. So IWB carry should be comfortable. For the same price as an LC9 the Shield wins hands down. The photo shows the Shield with an 8 round mag. With the 7 round mag it's much closer in size to the Ruger. My second M&P in a week and I'm hooked on this line of guns. S&W has a hit.
![]() The third gun is the Px4 subcompact. It's a little thick to carry and it shoots 4 inches left at 10 yards. The LC9 shoots 5-6 inches high at the same distance, and the Shield is dead on. |

I finally saw one at my LGS. Feels nice in my hands. Dry fired the trigger and it was a shorter and lighter pull than my LC9. It did feel "mushy". I did not buy it that day because I was there for another gun. I may go back this weekend to have another look.

If they still have it this weekend it would be a miracle.
