I have about a dozen older Smith revolvers, but my regular carry revolver is a Rossi 462 stainless .357 magnum. It's 2 1/2", 6 shot, and heavy, but very solid, accurate and reliable. My Smiths stay home. My Rossi goes out with me.

I have been shooting revolvers since the 1970's, and the Rossi's are really good quality at great prices.

My favorite 357 / medium frame revolver

I like my 38s, but I say get a 357, you won't regret it. Like others have said, its gotta be a 66 or maybe a 19.....my 66 is probably my favorite general use 357. Its lighter than any Colt or Ruger 357 offering. Dan Wesson's are also heavier. It does it all, with a durable composition, good balance, adj sights, great trigger. It does everything well.

My first year 66 no dash with original stainless rear sight

I've sold a Trooper MKIII, a S&W 19-4 and a 1969 Python. Even if I had all the ones I sold, I would still pick the 66.

For me to say I like the 66 best is important, because it has really good competition for my current favorite 357. I love em all really...; )

Colt Model 357 from 1954/5

686-3 pre lock

586 no dash pre lock

27-2, 27-2 and 28-2 All are P&R

19-4 PA State Police 75th Anniversary Commemorative - unfired (and no, I don't care about firing it) - sorry for the poor quality pic
