1911 rigs
The 1911 rig is one I put together but WWI accessories; the 1911AI is from a captain who landed on Okinawa with the 10th Army XXIV Corp.. The only time he fired the pistol was to kill a snake. I met the gentleman at the gun store when he went back to pick up his money. The mag pouch is for a carbine.
Thanks for looking, Joe |

Chris, The 1911 was made in 1917 and shipped Jan3 1918 to Greesville Piers,NJ Ordance Depot No.6, A.E.F. France. one of 5000 sent to the commanding officer. This is kind a rare to have a 1911 that was shipped to a war zone and still stay relatively clean and not messed with after ninty five years.

Very nice guns. A 1911 or 1911A1 in its standard form is something I am missing from my collection. I have all of these 1911 variations, but no standard fixed sight 45 acp. My only regular size 1911 is a 38 special wadcutter, which is cool, but I long for the old "45".

FYI, That Mustang will have a modern partner this year. Colt is re-releasing the Mustang PocketLite. Parts are supposed to be interchangeable with the old models.
