Scope
I just purchased a Remington 700 25-06. I would like some input on what scope to put on this rifle for long range target shooting.

Congrats on the 700
Whats your budget?
What do you consider "Long range" what is your intended target? Their are a ton of options out there, good glass can cost you as much as the rifle. |

Scope
I would be silling to spend up to 1500.00 but prefer something cheaper. Long range-500 meters. In the Army I shot at 1000 meters, and did well even with iron sights. Age and wear have disrupted my vision so now I do wear cheaters, but do expect a good scope to allow me to leave them off.

Have you considered Meopta Optics? They are hi-quality scopes which I have been very happy with. I have one on my 700 PSS
