I've got some .357 mag casings just sitting around.
If I loaded them up with 125gr jacketed hex hollows and a charge of 5 grains(231 Winchester), what would be the difference in fps and enery? That's the normal load for 38sp.
I don't need exact figures, just ball park.

Yes, you'll have a drop off in both velocity and energy because the longer .357 Mag. reduces the pressure created when the powder burns.
