Help identifying an old rifle
My uncle found this rifle in his closet. He said he's had it for over 20 years. I haven't yet been able to determine what it is. There are no markings other than some serial numbers that are recognizable. There is a "792" to the left of the chamber which I assumed meant 7.92 caliber. The serial number on the bolt handle is prefixed with "EA". I originally thought it was a Mauser, but I can't find one that looks like it, though it shares many similar components.
There is an eagle / bird logo that I haven't been able to find either. Any help would be appreciated. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Spanish Mauser Model 1943. The crest on the receiver is for the Spanish Air Force and it should be chambered in 8mm mauser (7.92mm). Thats a nice looking rifle and its still in its original configuration.

EA = abbreviation for Eulogio Arostegui, Eibar,Spain Air Force !
You,ve got a nice.fairly rare rifle there. Check all the parts, they should all have the same ser.# on them. If so, Keep in original condition and enjoy ! |
