FFL Jacksonville, FL
Anyone know a FFL in Jacksonville, FL that will transfer a handgun from a citizen of another state without thinking that he has to receive the gun from a FFL?
They think that they cannot transfer a handgun to a FL resident from a resident from another state unless it comes from a FFL in that person's state of residence. I went through this several years ago when I wanted to gift a handgun to a kin in another state. I called the ATF near me, and learned that I could hand carry the gun and have a FFL dealer there do the transfer. When I got there the dealer said I did not need to go through him, but could give the gun to my kin. I had to call the ATF there and have him talk to the agent so that I could complete the transfer. I wish the FFL holders would learn the law, but I guess that is hopeless. Jerry
