Holster for odd-sized Colt Trooper

My Colt Trooper Mk III has an unusual barrel length (5") and I'm scratching my head over what holster to get. Are there any custom makers who would cater to the 5" barrel in something similar to the Bianchi 5BHL or Galco DAO styles or am I going to have to settle for a closed 6" or open 4" stock model? This is a really nice piece and I'm willing to pay a little extra for a custom job. Any suggestions?

Try Andrews leather... http://www.andrewsleather.com/traditional.htm

Call and tell him the problem, he will make it right. There are many other custom makers as well, I just know Andrews work, I love his holsters, they are like saddles, well made!

What a handsome revolver,,,

Almost a shame to cover it with a holster,,,

Any decent holster maker will be able to crank out a 5" version for you,,,
Or modify an existing 6" to accomodate your gun.

That gun just begs for a tooled BBQ quality rig.

Not only does...

...that Trooper deserve a great holster, it also ought to have a great set of stocks. I know the Pachs do okay, but a set in ebony, or some other nice wood, surely would look great.

Very nice revolver.

Galco didn't advertise it, but they used to do custom requests beyond what their catalogs show.
You might call & ask if they still do.

You might contact El Paso Saddlery as their holsters are made to order and I suspect they could probably accomodate your request fairly easily. They also make top-notch stuff (my EDC rides in one of their #88 rigs).

I agreed with you, so I was able to nab some Jay Scott Walnut stocks off ebay last week. I think it looks much better in wood.

Thanks to all for all your suggestions for leather! This should give me some options.

Cheers!
