Can you save uploaded pics for easy access?
Instead of hunting down thread it was uploaded too can i just store them?

Well, they are stored here even though they were initially associated with a particular post.
You have a list of them handy in your own "User CP". Open that and look at the bottom of the left hand menu where you'll find "Attachments". That lists where it was originally used, and gives you easy access to the URL of the image for use in any other posts you want to use it in by way of the [IMG] and [ATTACH] tags. There is a vbulletin function called albums where you can store images, but we do not have that function turned on, and there is no plan to do so at this time. TFL wasn't designed to be an image hosting site. There are many sites available to everyone for that (photobucket, imageshack, etc.). |

If you just want a personal copy you can right click on a pic and then click on save image as. Then choose where you want to store it on your computer. From there you can do whatever you want with it.

http://photobucket.com http://imgur.com http://min.us/ All have the advantage that you can store your images once and link to them on any site. Using attachments stored at TFL by hotlinking them from other sites, if that works at all, may not work in the future.
