Shot a Turkey with my 300 win mag while deer hunting. I put the crosshair right where the neck met the body, and actually hit it. Didn't ruin any meat. shot was about 60 yds. I tried this feat again at a much longer distance, and over compensated for the anticipated rise - hit the bird smack in the middle of the body cavity, and pieces of turkey went in all directions. It was a bit comical at first, but I sure hated loosing the meat. I did retrieve 1/2 of the breast.

My dad has shot rabbits with a 45-70 and a .50 cal muzzleloader. He's also shot a raccoon at point blank range with a 7 mag that climbed up in a treestand with him.
