Custom Round Ball Molds?
Anybody out there know of a place that builds custom round molds? I have been looking for a .400 mold it seems Lyman and Lee no longer build them.

Lee will build a custom mold to your specifications. There is a tooling charge plus the cost of the mold - as I recall, it comes out to around $200 for one dual cavity mold.

Ya I looked at Lee they made a .400 mold at one time Im sure they didnt throw the tooling away, I just hate to pay a tooling charge for somthing I sure they still have. It would be alot better if I could just find one of there old 400 mold or better yet a Lyman. I think I will go buy a lottery ticket my chances a better. Thanks though.

Thanks but I have the best accuracy with a 400 and .010 ticking patch, but if I cant find one I may have to go to a 395 I dont think I could get a 408 down the bore the 400 is real tight but thanks.

The link above to Mr Jeff Tanner in the UK is a good one. I got a few Tanner molds. They are dead on in the size department. You get whatever you want. Just say what size you need and he`ll make a mold for you. They are very cheap too. One reason for that is that the molds has no cutter.

Beat me to it with the Jeff Tanner reccomendation. He has an excellent reputation. He has a U.S. agent so mailing is fast and money exchange is not a problem.
Don't forget Dixie Gun Works. Their custom moulds are not fancy but they are inexpensive and work. I have had several. No sprue cutter, but, IMHO, 'so what?'. Cutting the sprues off (after cooling ) is not a big deal.
