Savage Discontinues Smokeless 10ML
I'm not sure when or where it was first announced, but the following thread indicates that the Savage 10ML has been discontinued.

Looks like I have a real collector's item then.
Why has Savage discontinued this great rifle? |

Probably because of idiots not reading the directions and stuffing it full of Bullseye or some such tomfoolery.
It's unfortunate to see it go, as it was a well executed idea. It's pretty hard to hold in that pressure without the advantages of these little handy brass gaskets we call "cases". |

Do you suppose it's possible that sales were too low to justify continuing production? Mass produced products all have a minimum production rate below which the investment in production resources is no longer profitable. That's what killed the Ruger Old Army - Ruger made more money using the tooling, equipment and personnel resources allocated to the Old Army for the Vaquero and Blackhawk.

WOW! Looks like the re-sale of my Savage just doubled. I may have to see if I can buy some more of them, because I know several guys that are saving their money in order to buy one.
