Hello everyone!

I just bought a Russian Makarov. I am interested in loading for this gun; anyone got any good loads for this round? Would it be the same/similar as .380?

I usually load with Hodgdon Clays, Bullseye, W231 or WST.

Thanks.

Casey

The source of much great info on Makarovs is http://makarov.com.

They have a reloading table with much useful info on this round. I have had good success so far with Unique and W231.

mak loads

Casey:

You might try this, WORKING UP FROM BELOW.

3.6 grains Red Dot, Winchester small pistol primers, non magnum, 93 grain cast rn bullets, sized .365" dia. Load to "standard OAL". I use mostly Starline brass, with this load in 2 pistols so chambered, one a Russian Makarov, the other a Polish Radom P-83. They both shoot it well.

I had forgotten about the makarov.com site. I will go there and look.

Thanks again, guys.
