NV Now Honrs NM, NC & RI Update ON AZ, OK and WY

In a meeting of the Nevada Sheriff’s and Chief’s Association on Thursday, May 6, it was announced that three states, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Rhode Island would be added to the list of states whose carry permits would be recognized in Nevada.
So NV now honors 13 other states. Their committee only meets once a year to go over states they will honor so it will most likely be another year before NV adds any more states. Hopefully they will.

In Arizona things are getting ironed out with Constitutional Carry. Carry in Restaurants that serve alcohol will be the only place you can not carry without an AZ permit/license or a permit/license from any other state. There was talk about posted parks that permit holders were only allowed but AZ also updated their preemption law and Cities/Counties can no regulate the carry or possession of firearms.

Car Carry in AZ law was updated at the same time their new law was passed so there is no restrictions in autos under Constitutional Carry.

National Parks in AZ is also a place where people are saying under Constitutional Carry that people will not be allowed to carry. The Federal Law states this:

(8) The Federal laws should make it clear that the second amendment rights of an individual at a unit of the National Park System or the National Wildlife Refuge System should not be infringed.
(b) Protecting the right of individuals To bear arms in units of the National Park System and the National Wildlife Refuge System.—
The Secretary of the Interior shall not promulgate or enforce any regulation that prohibits an individual from possessing a firearm
including an assembled or functional firearm in any unit of the National Park System or the National Wildlife Refuge System if—
(1) the individual is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing the firearm; and
(2) the possession of the firearm is in compliance with the law of the State in which the unit of the National Park System or the National
Wildlife Refuge System is located.

So Constitutional Carry should allow carry in National Parks as the Federal Law states they will follow the laws of the state the NP-NWRS is located in.

Oklahoma Has updated the list of states that honor their permit. This listing only benefits OK permit/license holders but it gives them a list of states their state is telling them they are legal in.

Wyoming has not added GA, IN, MN or NH to the list of states they honor. I have seen where they are contacting other states though. VA updated their Reciprocity web site changing WY as a state they would just honor to a state that honors their permit. I look for WY to add those 4 additional States in the near future.
