John, Go to search in this site, and pull up the info I just posted for the RG 42. If you still have it.

You're like an RG hero, Waco. As much as those little old guns break, you'd think there'd be a guide as to how to best fix them. According to statistics there are quite a few RG's functioning, but my experiences with RG's were all full of failures.

The ones that still exist are the ones that were bought and thrown into a sock drawer never to be fired. I wonder how many ended up in gun-buy-backs.

Cleaning rG 42

Waco,

I too have had one for years and pulled it apart today, but want to make sure that I assemble it correctly. I am unable to find the info you posted on how to clean the RG 42. Any help you can give would be great.

Don't know if you found out yet how to take it a part but if, pull down the clip that is in front of the trigger ,then pull the slid forward , it will be hard till you get it off. Dont give up it will come off and watch the sping it will fly off.
