Refinishing Remington 870 barrel...

I am picking up an 870 police magnum and I wanted to get a vr express barrel for it (for the occasional clay shoot). I want to have it parkerized to match the 870p's finish..

1) is this doable?

2) if it will work, who offers the best parkerizing service for the best dollar?

A company by the name of AI&P (www.aiptactical.com) sells and puts together all manner of 870 Police shotguns for clients. If I remember, they charge $60 - $70 to parkerize a SG barrel only.

I bought a new blued barrel from Mr. McGuire and he is a nice gentelman to do business with.
