Help Me Make A Choice

I am looking for a long range rifle (500-800 yds) for around 6-700$. So far I have heard that the Savage 10FCP-K is probably the best bang for my buck as far as accuracy goes. I was also looking at a Rem 700 SPS Varmint.

Any other recommendations that might outperform the savage for the same price?

more please...

We are gonna want a lot more info.
Like what do you want to do? hunt, target, competition.
And what do you mean by "long range"?
100 200 600 1000 yards....
Is that budget for scope too or just rifle?

This is gonna be used for whitetail and target shooting.
I am talking about just the price of the rifle, no optics.

And I already included the range in my original post.

Just bought a Remington 700 SPS Tactical. $610 and a $40 rebate from Rem. This thing will drive tacks and you will be able to hit fairly accurately out to 500 or further depending on your ability. Check into it. I think you'll be suprised. The trigger is adjustable and clean break.

Any ideas as to how the Tikka T3 Varminter Compares to the Howa/Axiom Varminter?
