Don't help to talk to the owners. I've had 4 neighbors over the years whose dogs just disappeared.............

Well, that's nice, Maestro, but it might be prudent to see how well your strong feelings agree with the full force of the laws that govern using deadly force against someone assaulting an animal, that, from what you indicate, may not even be yours.

More knowledgeable folks than you and me have pointed out that it isn't really how we feel about it that matters. It's all the old retired, non gun owning, AARP members who will make up your jury whose opinions really matter. You know, all the Sierra Club and PETA members stacked the jury with.

I can appreciate your thoughts, though.

While there is a potential for this thread to have some T&T lessons and to foster on-topic and constructive discussion it really hasn't gone in those directions.

Rhetorical question: Why is it that there are so many folks posting in T&T who don't seem to be interested in actually discussing T&T?
