Mossberg 590A1

I just recently bought a new Mossberg M590A1. I want to put a heat shield on it and I have heard multiple things about doing so. Is there a certain shield I can order online or do you need to modify one? If someone knows of the produce or website that I can order one from that would be very helpful.

There are several it but I heard the thicker barrel may be of interest...
I have no need for the shroud other than possible cool factor in the looks dept.

no. I believe there's a fitment issue, as your barrel is thicker. I think.

Personally, I thought I would need the heat shield, 'cuz I'd be dumb and burn myself, and I haven't had one problem with it yet when I pulled the heat shield off. I think a 590A1 barrel looks better without it, I dig the meaty sewer pipe look.

You will only burn yerself once on a barrel!
I used to shoot a single shot with no fore stock... just a wide rubber band on it... After 4 shots you tend to hold it different.
I have never had a shrouded barrel. I did burn myself once on my 500 but it was after trying to "glow" the barrel in the 100 degree florida heat. I ran 75 or so rounds thru it then set it down, grabbed another beer and after 10 minutes or so I thought it would be cooled off... OOPSY I hadn't left the action open Blisters on all my fingers and thumb...
