Best/Longest-Lasting CLP/0il?
What's the best/longest-lasting CLP/Oil to use on my guns for long-term storage?

For LONG term storage I would see if there was any RIG Grease available.

Breakfree CLP is outstanding in the corrosion tests I've conducted. Noticeably better than Weapon Shield at preventing rust. Better than RIG too in a salt spray test. BF CLP was originally invented by a plating company to prevent flash rusting of prepped bare metal parts before plating. Corrosion-X, Eezox, BF CLP, and Heavy Greases are your best bet.

What is "long term storage"? To me it means at least 10 years. With that in mind, cover the entire gun (except for the wood, if any) in cosmolene - just like all of those imported rifles. Worked for them and it should work for you.

Breakfree's "Collector" is guaranteed to protect for five years and the weapon can be grabbed immediately and used without removal. I've been using it for 4 or 5 years now and it has not let me down. I apply a thin coat with a small paintbrush and stow it in the safe.
