I acquired a 1847 Colt Walker blueprint using eBay; the current eBay Item Number is 360108244461.
The Item number is 360130405359 for a 1851 Colt Navy blueprint. Last edited by gclefton; February 11, 2009 at 06:57 PM. |

This is what I was talking about (you can find others by doing a patent search).

new topics...
well the ebay drawings are exactly what im looking for. however they are rather pricey.
THe patent drawings are just as good as blueprints, however some issues come up with them. firstly, the patent drawings arent always at the right scale, meaning when drawn they were drawn to a scale that was not specified. however dimensions of the actual gun pertaining to the patent is a good remedy. Secondly, patents dont always show the thickness of the parts, or the placement inside other parts. example, nothing shows how well centered the trigger is in the weapon. |
