benelli M1 question
I bought a benelli shotgun a couple years ago from Turners outdoors man. It has a built on muzzle break from benelli. They said only 500 were made. Can't find any info of any benelli shotguns with factory muzzle breaks. Anyone have any info? Checked benelli website and the web no luck.

What is the serial# on your M1S90 first 4 only. I am looking to see if it is a H&K or a after H&K model.
I have fairly good knowledge of the M1-S90 early and mid models and NONE came with a factory breaching device. Late models with threaded barrels did have some "tactical Breaches" as aftermarket items. Royal Arms did make REAL breaching devices for a short time, but lets face it folks BREACHING is not the niche for this race horse.

Is it a recoil brake/flash reducer type device or a more "open ended" breaching extension? Curious to see this... sounds very interesting. ![]() C

That is a very unusual barrel. Note the link to Royal Arms, go to breaching barrels, at the bottom of the page is your device, "I think" http://www.royalarms.com/.
What is unusual about your barrel is the distance between the front sight and the muzzle, that is much longer than a standard Benelli barrel. What is VERY interesting is that it looks like this is a permanent attachment ADDED to a standard 14" entry barrel configuration! It looks to me like you may have a very wild and unusual factory modification or a well done custom modification. I do find this devise (breacher/muzzle) as a thread on in my one of my LE products books from Heckler & Koch dated 5/1995, however this is for a threaded choke barrel and would show a muzzle swell for factory threading. Looks very elegant and makes you a very lucky man! Good Luck & Be Safe

I remember seeing those in gun shops a few years ago... it's a factory gun.

ROFOCALE, I'd have to agree with SG Bob... The device in your photo looks identical to the one in the next to last photo in Royal Arms web page.
I'm inclined to believe it's a custom job as well, or perhaps a limited run - US distributor - LE only modification... than something coming directly from Benelli and/or HK as a catalog item. What ever it is... Royal Arms must have had a hand in it at some point. Sure is cool though! ![]() C

Does royalarms do custom barrels for factory guns? The breacher attachment looks very close. Is there a way to contact benelli directly maybe they could shed some light.

It has been 10 years since I have done business with Royal, but at that point YES they did custom barrel adaptations for some very high speed low drag custom gun makers. I would try calling Royal and asking about your gun. My old contact Butch Anderson is long retired, so I can't do you much good.
Nice gun S90's rock the house! Good Luck & Be Safe

I am just the dumb guy on this forum with WAY too many Fighting Scatterguns, that is where my passion and experience lays. I would not know a good 10 Ga s/s from a poor one.
The guys that I listen to about that stuff are Zippy 13 and BigJim, of course there are many others, but I just feel confident in recommending these two. They always respond to my P/M's, give them a try. Glad I could help, By the way, I you ever get tired of your pretty little S90, drop me a line, there is always room in my safe for another full race scattergun like that!

Thanks bob. If I plan on letting my benelli go I will keep you in mind. I'm trying to sell or trade a AR-15.
