S&W 67-1 Help

I swapped an old Glock 21 I bought off a deputy for a 67-1 .38 today. I think I did ok considering the glock was well worn and only had one 10-round mag. The .38 feels pretty tight and I think it will clean up well, it has some scratches and whatnot that I hope can be buffed out. No box or original grips...came with Pachmayr "Grippers". It has the adjustable rear sight.

On the frame above where it gives the model # 67-1 it reads 23 0 K344...just ahead of the cylinder it reads 57673 and aboce that it has an S and above that it looks like it says C12.

I'll try to get some pics up...any help dating the revolver or other tips etc are appreciated!

HammerIt on this forum has a great procedure for buffing Stainless Revolvers to a "like Nickel" shine. He uses 2,000 grit Wet/Dry Sandpaper to remove imperfections, then buffs with Mothers Mag Polish and a towel.

The results are pretty impressive, from the pictures he's posted here, and elsewhere.
