I was pretty hefty a few years back. Not 250, but I was 215-220 on a 5'6" frame wearing 38" pants.

I still wore what I wear today, mainly a Blade Tech IWB with a reload on my belt. The only thing I've changed, has been my pants size. (I'm 160 and a 32" now)

IWB takes a little while to get used to no matter what your size is, so dont think your size is really necessarily an issue. It takes a little while for you body to get used to the gun being there, especailly if you dont change your pants size, which I dont. I wear my normal size pants and have always been more comfortable doing so, as the gun moves around less and stays in place. It feels a little snug at first in the morning when you put them on, but soon feels fine as the pants give a little.

For IWB holsters, I've pretty much settled on the Blade Tech and a Milt Sparks VMII, with the Blade Tech being used the most. If you sweat, the Blade Tech is the better choice.

I am 5'11" and 260 now. I have used a few various holsters. All I make sure of is to buy larger waist pants than what I actually wear. Asize or two. Hope this helps.

I'm in between 5'11 and 6' (so depressing, almost made 6...) and weigh in at 235lbs with a 38in pant.

Best IWB's for me have been with a compact pistol, usually a Bersa Thunder or a Glock 27. I've got a bit of chub in the gut and some love handles. I've found holsters that ride low work the best. Since I wear my pants right under my love handles, a holster that keeps the grip low and tucked under and into that handle usually works best for me. I carry at 3 o'clock.

FWIW, comp tac looks good to me and is next for my IWB's.

I'm a tubby dude with no butt, I wear jeans, and it's all I can do to keep ME in my breeches. I started buying the larger button down shirts from Gander mtn, etc- leave the shirttail out- and I just go with a paddle holster for my Sig 220, or a Bianchi minimalist kinda thing for my CZ 75 D PCR. Keeps things covered up, keeps my butt covered up, no plumbers crack... everybody's happy.
