Cheaperthandirt shipping booshwa

Greetings everyone.
Cheaperthandirt.com posts on the front page of their catalogs and their website that orders are shipped within 3 hours.
I find that statement complete booshwa! I've ordered from them at least 2 times and my order has never been shipped within that timeframe. I ordered a few 20 round boxes of ammo from them about 6 months ago and it took them 3 days to ship it.
I placed another order this Monday before 1PM and it shipped late the next day.
I don't understand why they state 3 hour shipping when my items never get shipped that fast?
Anyone else have this problem?
Take care

Funny-I just ordered some .38 "FBI" loads from Midway USA and they didn't promise instant shipping-they gave me a rather conservative package arrival timeframe-and then they shipped almost instantly and I received the ammo in a few days

MidwayUSA states that all orders placed before 4PM ship the same day.
They actually do! I love Midway for that. If I place an order before 4PM, I receive it the next day. I love it!

Actually the last order I place was for grip extensions.
The only ammo i'll buy locally is fmj from Walmart, and I just started doing that.
The place I buy my ammo online from has it to my door within 2-4 days.

Yes , I have noticed that with my orders from cheaperthandirt.com. But overall I really like their selection and it does get here pretty fast.
My one gripe was about an order of a box of Fiocchi Extrema .38 specials came last week in a plastic envelope instead of the usual box and it had no ORDM sticker on it and the Fedex guy just tossed it on to the ground! I saw this from my window, not even the usual door bell ring. The Fiocchi box was dented on the edges but the ammo is fine.

Is that the American spelling of bourgeois? Or do you really mean BS?

I'm not so concerned with shipping time from either one of them then I am the customer service, it seems to me that customer service over the last year has just gone down the ^%#@ pipe. I'd wouldn't mind paying more for shipping or waiting longer to receive it if the customer service was better then these companies.

Wow! Cheaperthandirt emailed me saying they shipped my order the next day after placing it and provided a tracking number. I've been trying to track the package all week, but FedEx kept telling me they couldn't find any information on my package. Well today I tried tracking it again and it turns out my package was just picked up by FedEx Thursday afternoon, 4 days after placing my order!
The FedEx site says I should receive my package the 11th, next Friday.
You gotta love that 3 hour shipping they promise
Take care guys, happy 4th!

I haven't ordered from CTD. All I can say is that, "Now you know." If you like the price and don't mind the wait, go ahead and buy from them. If not, don't.

Most places exaggerate their service, so you have to take everything with a grain of salt. Mostly I order things that I'm not dying to get, so time frame is not a big deal.

I have found that most if not all of CTD prices are not that low and can be beat by careful shopping and that their shipping charges are outrageous. I did some comparison shopping a few years back and never graced their website again.
