.323 & 8mm
Can I shoot .323 through my 8mm Mauser?

.323 in mauser
If your mauser was made during WWII it uses the .323 diameter bullets, the WWI made mausers used a .318 diameter bullet so make sure you have the correct period rifle or have your bore slugged to make sure.

A little earlier.
The change from .318" 7.9x57 to .323" 7.92x57 was made in 1905 by the German army. There were commercial sporters made on the tight bore for some time, however. What kind of Mauser do you have? |

It's aYugoslavian Mauser.....from Mitchell.I'll get the #s; my son "borrowed" it several months ago.

Ok, it is a standard "S" bore Mauser and meant for .323" bullets.
