LEFT THE RANGE, a sad day for Ohio riflemen

This was posted in the news letter I recieved from one of my clubs, TUSCO Rifle Club

LEFT THE RANGE

We lost a good friend on Monday, April 30th, when Duane Barthel of North Canton, passed away at his home. Duane and his son Bob own and operated Barthel Gunsmithing. Known for his expertise with a firearm and his easy friendship, Duane will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Our sympathies to his family.

I first met Duane and his son after receiving a recommendation from Kelby's Gunsmithing, makers of the Stolle action and rifles.

He built my 284 custom. Going to TUSCO, I saw much of his work. Everything he did was excellent. A well respected craftsman of which there are too few.
