Mueller Tac II - opinions?

Hey guys,

I've seen some previous threads about Mueller scopes in general.

But does anyone have opinions specifically about the "Mueller 3-10x44 Tac II" (mil-dot no illumination)

http://www.muelleroptics.com/products/MTAC31044.html

I'm thinking this would be a good scope for medium range shooting (less than 300 yards).

Opinions?

I bought a Mueller about 2 years ago. I am not sure of the model #, but I think it was the one you speak of.
I do not think that what I found is typical, but I will tell you anyway.
The scope was mounted on a Savage 10FP in .308 Win. In less than 10 rounds, it went out of focus, and the windage adjustment failed to function. Until it went haywire it seemed to be a decent scope. The scope was returned to the seller, (TheOpticZone for full credit) and I bought a Weaver KT-15 instead.
I truly think that the Mueller I got was not typical of their product, which seems to have a good reputation, but it should never have gotten past their QC people. Hence, I for one will never buy another Mueller product.
I wish you the best
