Flashlight lumens???

So in the world of many lumens is condsidered bright???

this will be a hand held tac style personal light..not the big camping style light that has a lens as big as some car lights

For blinding someone at short distances, 60-65 lumens is considered the minimum. With 100-200 or so, you get a pretty long throw for checking your surroundings outdoors or lighting up half a room. I'm not an expert, but I have 2 Surefires and one Digilight as well as some $2 utility lights and an old plastic 2D battery.
A 2 or 3 battery Surefire or Streamlight would be a decent choice.

I did some research and read quite a few articles on the use of a tactical light and every author suggested a light with a lumen rating of 100 for SD use. I hope this helps.

Just another option. Not a Surefire. Sure isn't as expensive.
History is a freak show and a dark comedy. Mankind is a spectacle all to itself. Play your role, let the jesters play theirs. In the end...who has the last laugh?
