Cartridge names / 550B conversion kits - Help!

What with cabin fever and my old eyes I decided to get type up Dillon's catalog list of Caliber Conversion Kit Listings to type size I could read. Well, one thing lead to another and that list is now in a database along with the cross reference info from my 550B Manual (v8.1).

Ofcourse that wasn't enough, and since outside the few cartrides I load I'm not that familure with their names, so silly me I figured I could learn something new by putting the full names and any aliases from my reloading manuals for those rounds into the database.

I am now one very confused puppy! Seems my reloading manuals, Hornady 6th & Lyman 48th, don't always agree on what a name should be.

If you're bored would you mind looking over the attached and double check I've entered names correctly.

Also there are a few conversion kits that are newer than my press manual. If you happen to have any of the following I'd like to know what Funnel, Shellplate, and Locator Buttons are used...

ConversionKit Cartridge
20121 .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum
20267 6.5 x 68S
20268 7 x 57R
20269 6.5 x 57R
20270 .30R Blaster
20271 8 x 57 JRS
20272 8 x 68S
20273 9.3 x 62
20274 9.3 x 64
20274 9.3 x 74R
20307 .204 Ruger
20315 .25 Winchester Super Short Magnum
20316 .243 Winchester Super Short Magnum
20323 6.8 Remington SPC
20676 .223 Winchester Super Short Magnum
20682 7mm Dakota
20682 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum
20888 .475 Linebaugh
20888 .480 Ruger
20891 .325 Winchester Short Magnum
20894 6.5 Grendel

Thanks in advance.

We must think alike. I have also made a chart. I think you will find it has some information you do not have. Please post you revised chart when you finish. I am most interested.

happy7 - Thanks for your chart, now my head hurts even worse!

Due to some descrepencies between the two I went scurrying back to my original sources and found Dillon seems to have messed up some part/model numbers along with a few conversion listings, sigh. I'll get up an email and see if Dillon will clear things up.

It may be a while so stay tuned.

I don't know if this will be of any help. You have many calibers that use the same shell plate-locater button ect. Go to your data base anc cross referance set ups that use the same claber case. Like 222-222mag-223-7mm tcu as and example all use the same case and the same shell plate locator button are all the same. Hope this helps in any case Dillon should be able to help.

Such as it is here's the newer and improvered version.

James -
I'm using a nomalized database so I'm not really duplicating data. What you're seeing is a query using linked tables.

And ya, I've been bending the ear of the guys at Dillon to come up with this version. Their customer service is just so beyond the call of duty.
