Calling Crows

Right now I have a couple of electronic crow calls. I have brought a flock of them in before with a rabbit distress and a peice of fur out on the ground but they never landed. I only have a .22 and can't afford a shotgun (the neighbors would not be happy with the noise of a shotgun anyways.) What is something I can do to get them to land?

Assuming it is legal to shoot them, Place something to interest them on the ground around your shooting point. Scraps of tin foil with torn up toilet tissue works wonders. Spread it out over a 10 sq. foot area. Curiosity killed more than the cat. These poor saps go for shiney pretty things and the T.P. will get them thinking dinner eats.

Microwaved popcorn makes for a very good "last meal".

An owl decoy and a bunch of crow decoys will bring them in close
