Ithaca M37 Featherlight question

Need some advice please.

Planning to sell a 12 ga Ithaca featherlight that has engraving on the receiver. 3 ducks over a pond on the left and a setter chasing 2 pheasants on the right. I am not sure if it was just standard factory engraving that would max the gun out at about $250.00 or the kind that would place its value in the $5,000.00 range. I'm getting my info and pricing from the 26th edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values. How, or where, would I go to find out for sure the value of the shotgun? Serial #565xxx-4.

Thanks for anyones help

The Ithaca Model 37 Pump

Hello
I have seen this stamped engraved scene on All Model 37 Pumps shot guns. It does Not raise the price as they used it on all from what I have seen. The only models I have seen run a little higher in price are the Bicentennial one's, limited editions, and some original 37-R models that had a solid rib, or a Higher Grade model with much more elaborate wood and engraving. The rest are run of the Mill Ithaca shot guns and average $200.00-350.00 In my area. Hope this helps, Hammer It.

I agree as that is the standard stamped engraving on all 37s except some that were used by the military. That's also the price range that they sell for in the N TX area.

That price range is about right.

I actually just bought an Ithica Model 37 for $250 a few weeks ago.

Your gun was made in 1954 and does not have interchangable barrels, so that might reduce it's value a bit, unless it's worth more to someone because of it's greater age.

M37 question answered

Thanks to all for your input.

I am now confident that the $300.00 I am getting is a fair price for a gun in very like new condition although it is about 52 years old.

Best regards - -
