Where to put the laser
I'm thinking about sticking a laser on an AR that will arrive soon. It does not come w/rails and I'm not really in a hurry to swap out the front furniture.
It has a standard front-sight, could I mount one on the bayonette lug? How about other mounting options... where do y'all mount your beam devices? |

Best option- get a forearm with rails.
Second best- bayonet lug mount. Next best- There are mounts that screw/bolt to the front sight. Next to Worst- location that allows the laser to shine on the rear sight where you can see it. Lasers are bright. Worst- stickyback that mounts to the forearm. You'll look stupid bending over to pick it back up after the second shot. Just a thought- Does Red Trace make a replacement grip for your rifle that has the laser in the grip?
