In need of quality ammo box

I'm looking for a good quality waterproof ammo box for ammo storage in my basement. I'd prefer an all-metal design. Who makes such a box? The typical .50 cal army surplus boxes are much too small. Thanks.

The link shows some tough aluminum cases of different sizes. They also sell very good plastic cases (SKB) that are probably stout enough and are much more affordable. The MTM cases already mentioned are what I use, but I don't need them to be bomb proof and don't move them much.

I use a double handle 20mm ammobox and for longer term storage I use one of these:

Got them at a local gunshow a few years ago. I think I paid $20 for the 20mm can and $30 for the rocket box.

Personally I like the surplus stuff. You can get em’ at gun shows, there dirt cheap, waterproof, stronger n’ hell, and they stack real nice.

Recently I went to Cabelas in my area and bought some Bulk .223 ammo for my AR and the box it came with was huge. It was plastic and not metal like the military ammo cans but I was surprised on how much ammo I can put in it. Right now I have 300 plus rounds of .223 and 150 rounds of 7.62x54R and I sill have room to put more in it. You might want to check out Cabelas.

It really depends are the type of ammo you're talking about. It it's bulk ammo, ammo in boxes etc. the mil surplus are fine. If you're talking match rifle, reloads, etc I use case guard cases from midway USA.
These boxes take the pressure off the tip of the bullet. For plinking it doesn't matter, but for accuracy, it prevents the tips from wearing down. It's something you should be aware of.
