And there she lay under the glass counter. Her nickel plated body shimmered with the confidence of a 5 1/2" barrel marked SA Cal.357. Taylor & Co. Winchester, VA. She caught my eye wearing only one piece walnut grips. Upon closer examination every screw was fire blue in color. Her current owner, a man of notoriuos viciousness, was known for enticing many a cowboy with things that go bang. Her fit and finish were great. The action unusually smooth for one so young. In the end, I paid hard earned dollars to the man behind the counter. Gladly, she went home with me.

Ned,
You are a person of such unspeakable cruelty
Walnut, nickle and blue. Enough to tempt even the heartiest of souls to stray from the path of monetary conservationalism.
