I've been shopping for a sturdy and reliable "utility" knife for general field use. I have a definite preference for short, fat blades vice big choppers, which is ironic considering that I'm 6'4" and a burly 275#.
Anyway, I eventually found what I think is the perfect knife for me:
A Busse Meaner Street.
Great balance and feel and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Shown here with my Omega to give a sense of scale:
I must acknowledge the great service from the folks at the Busse Company Store: I ordered on Saturday and it arrived at my house on Wednesday.
Now to choose my next Busse....
