what is a winchester u.s. repeating arms defender 12ga

i went to academy and saw this at $268.47 and on there web site it is there two. does anybody know about this gun? is it good? is it like the 1300 or is it not worth buying.

Its basically a 8 shot pump action 12 gauge, cylinder bore, I think they all come out with rifle sights. Designed for home security/LEO use. I dont really rate them- the last one I tried was a single rail, with huge gaps in the pattern. the 590 mossberg is a far better choice IMHO.

Only thing I would add is it is a version of the Winchester 1300
