New 6.8X45 SOCOM round

Apparently the Army is developing a new round for the M-4. It has a 6.8 MM 120gr bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2700fps. There is more info on the Stopping power forum. You must register to read.

One of my friends was going to introduce me to this round just before he was sent on vacation to the high desert.

He is very impressed with it.

Just one of the lesser reasons I'll be glad when he gets back.

Cheers,

ts
