308 Wildcat question
Is anyone aware of a wildcat based on the 308 Win using a .429 bullet? If so, do you know where more information can be found? Thanks.

dwesson445, I believe something like what you're describing has already been done. Back in 1976 there was some development done on a .44/06 wildcat cartridge. You would be able to use .308 brass to duplicate these efforts. This cartridge was originally documented in the #67 issue of Handloader magazine. You can also read about it on page 585 of The Handloader's Manual Of Cartridge Conversions, by John J. Donnelly. Hope this helps!
