I'm getting a Winchester Pump 1300, youth model, 20gauge, for home defense. Youth model so my wife can handle it. It's used but in good condition and comes with the standard modified choke. They want $149. Is this a good deal.

Win mfg the 1300 Ladies-Youth in 1992 only. One in 95% condition goes for ~$200 around here. Win also made the 1300 Lady Defender beginning in 1996. It has either a 5 or 8-shot magazine and sells for ~$150 in 95%.

Besides firing it from her shoulder, teach your wife how to fire it from the hip for those times when she has insufficient time or space to shoulder it.

Lee that's great deal for here in SC. I would buy that just for the value.

Mine resides with a buddy for his son's use - until the boy outgrows it. I missed it so much I bought another. Probably give it to the kid in a few years. BTW - paid more than $149 for it..
