I've been having lots of fun using a friend's big, bolt-action shotgun for a year now--on clay birds and miscellaneous non-living targets--and I want to get a 20 ga. of my own. I'm not exactly an NFL fullback, and my arms are shortish even for my 5'6" stature, so I've narrowed the options to a Mossberg 500 Bantam or a Winchester Model 1300 Compact. If anyone has any thoughts on choosing between the two (or another option to recommend), I'd be grateful for guidance.

We had real good luck with a Remington 870 20ga Youth Model. My better half can handle the weight / recoil and the stock came from the factory at the same size I cut my 12ga down to.
But, I'm extremely partial to the 870 when it comes to a pump gun. Check 6, Erick |
