That is a very interesting upper receiver. Almost a SCAR lookalike, but it definitely looks like a regular AR-15 lower (and you won't find Pmags or a UBR on a SCAR).

Yes indeed, thank you Mr. Volk. And many more thanks for much more than this thread. I've followed your photography site for quite a while- I don't guess I'll ever come close to your camera skills, equipment, tallent, or quality, but you've been a true inspiration to the art regardless.
